Tofu on skewers

  • 1 pack ClearSpot Smoked Tofu
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp soft brown sugar
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1% oil spray
  • Mini Skewers

Method

1. Drain the tofu and dry using thick kitchen towels. Replace wet towels and continue to dry for 15 minutes.

2. Cut the tofu into rectangular pieces 2.5 inches long x 1 inch wide.

3. Mix all the other ingredients in a bowl. Put the tofu pieces in this bowl and coat well.

4. Allow the tofu to marinade for a minimum of 30 minutes.

5. Put each piece on tofu on a mini skewer and arrange on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

6. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

7. Preheat oven at 190°C.

8. Spray the tofu skewers with oil and bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes flipping over mid-way.

9. Serve hot with salad.
